Preparing a surface for the season can seem like a daunting task

 · 1 min read

We were recently requested to attend a site to prepare it for use for the year.

This site, as with many has overgrown bushes around the perimeter. This causes excess build up of leaves that when not removed rot down to create a nutrient rich soil base.

From this soil that sits within the cracks, porous surface and on top of the surface moss can then take root and grow.

Leaving this in place causes increased degradation of the surface as the root structure pushes out in search of more water.

In addition the moisture that is retained more easily on the surface can expand and contract with freeze and thaw thus breaking open the surface.

Regular sweeping will remove the detritus and prolong the surface life whilst also keeping it looking great!!!
